... OK, now I really know what happened.

subtitle: Dennis ("I want to be a dentist") Kucinich needs a dentist.

I have now abandoned the "dumb-dumb gas" theory of how Dennis Kucinich got re-elected (see below). The Cuyahoga River valley remains a wonderful collection area for settling dumb-dumb gas ... don't get me wrong ... if there is such a thing.  But I have a new theory.

I guess, a couple of years ago, poor Dennis bit down on an olive pit and cracked one of his chompers. Some plain Joe working in the cafeteria forgot to meticulously scavenge through the jar marked "pitted olives" to make sure there were no mistakes. Occasionally the pitting machine will miss one. Sometimes it will crush a pit. A well trained individual in a private service business would have likely caught this mistake. A properly trained culinary aspirant would be trained in food safety. Corporate run food service is big on minimizing litigation.

I cannot judge Kucinich on bringing a lawsuit. That's not the purpose of this post. I'm not going to rip on him just because the sight of him makes my skin crawl ... more on that later.

If anything, it just shows a how government run operation can find the most ingenious ways to fail at doing anything well. The Dennis Kucinich lawsuit victory implies that this particular government run operation is deficient, inefficient, even harmful ... just like every other public sector bureaucracy ... he eats at the DMV of food service!  That's a delicious meal for me ... and I didn't even have to risk taking a bite!

So Dennis, after getting his big ouche! in the mean and tough halls of Congress, runs home to his constituency to receive the empathy he craves. The olive story is the big talk in his circles. "Wah ... wah ... wah" ..."poor Dennis" ... "Oh, that's terrible Dennis"... "alright, we'll vote for you again."

And that's how Dennis got re-elected.

As a service industry professional myself, I have had the "great privilege" of serving Dennis Kucinich a meal. This took place back in the winter of 2001. He was dining at a popular restaurant where I happened to work. Never in my nearly thirty years in the restaurant business have I felt such condescension emanating from a single patron. I even waited on Bono (of U-2 fame). He was actually a pretty nice chap. Kucinich, on the other hand ... he looked at me as if to say,  "and why aren't you shining my shoes while I eat ... boy?!" Does this explain my deep seated disdain for Mr. Kucinich. No. I  had a deep seated disdain for him long before serving him a salad. And let me assure you that I do not wear my heart on my sleeve when it comes to service. I am a restaurant professional. He's just an ass@*le. The mentality of the Left is exactly that. The Left believes that they are the class of intellectual nobility. Anyone who disagrees is obviously backward and intellectually deficient.

I Think I Know What Happened

I was listening to a re-broadcast of vintage Art Bell ... they were talking about chemtrails and contrails, etc. This show was from the year 1999. This made me think of the photos I took a couple of summers ago.

Just normal jet traffic right?. Yeah ... right! ... this happens all the time. Sure!

They must have been spraying the dumb dumb gas around here. I do remember going inside and closing the windows. I survived the Dumb Dumb medicine. Maybe that's why I still remain diffident in the face of the authoritarian threat. I remember that the temperature was right around seventy ... a perfect day. It would be a day when a lot of windows would be open ... you know ... just a coincidence ... I'm sure of it.

Well a lot of people around here must sucked in a lot of gas ... THEY RETURNED DENNIS KUCINICH TO THE CONGRESS!

In this kind of situation one can only ask, "Could I have done more? Could those ten extra calls have made a difference?"

Peter Corrigan only lost  to Dennis Kucinich by nine points. That is a significant advancement. The best so far! We have moved the ball forward ten yards! ... actually, in these parts, that was a ten yard throw and thirty extra yards of run after the catch! A Corrigan win would have been big national news. I guess the rest of the country knows that Ohio's Grand Canyon of liberal acolytes is located on a swath from Cleveland, to Akron, to Youngstown. It's a tough place to forward conservative ideals. 

It was great to meet Mr. Corrigan. This is a super intelligent guy and a thoughtful individual. You sense that he is good hearted guy when you shake his hand. I suppose that this trait is the one thing that turns anyone into a natural politician. But Corrigan is not a "shake your hand, grab your elbow with his other hand" kind of politician. Not at all.

I appreciated his opinion on the repatriation of foreign earned profits. It's been all in the news that corporations like Google keep their foreign earned profits overseas. If they were to bring that money back, it would be heavily taxed. That money could be invested here in jobs and recapitalization. Instead, it gets parked overseas. The new House should slash the repatriation penalty down from whatever it is now down to five percent for two years.

It's too bad that Ganley, a pro business candidate lost to Betty Sutton. It's too bad that Corrigan, a pro business candidate, lost to the left wing statist Dennis Kucinich. This Northeast Ohio area is downright backward thinking. The word progressive is one of those nice sounding words with dubious underpinnings. You have been talked into a giant lie. Has the water been spiked around here?

Question to Peter Corrigan

Several years after FDR died, we passed a constitutional amendment limiting the terms of the presidency. As a citizen, observing the clear abuse of power by the current congress, I cannot accept unlimited terms in the house and senate. The congress people should be temporary stewards, not legacies of corruption. Will you  commit to getting the ball rolling (again) toward a constitutional amendment limiting the terms of congressmen, congresswomen, and senators?
